Utah State Board of Education Early Educator Spotlight: Miss Becky
Miss Becky was recognized by Utah State Board of Education as their Early Educator Spotlight this month!
Her nominator said, “Becky works with preschool students with significant disabilities in Provo School District. She is so sweet, caring, patient and loving with her students and puts her whole heart into teaching. She works hard to implement strategies, activities, and instruction specific to her individual students’ needs.”
A coworker said, “Becky is an amazing example of a student-first oriented teacher. She meets her students where they are academically, physically, and mentally, while still pushing them towards their next steps toward progress. She is great at adapting her lessons and activities to meet each students’ individual needs. She is always pushing herself to think outside the box and is open to new ideas. She is eager to learn new technology that might assist her students in learning, communicating, and self-advocating. She works hard to keep parents informed on their child’s progress at school and makes them feel like an important part of the team. Additionally, she goes the extra mile to include all IEP team members when brainstorming new ideas on how to help students in her classroom.”
Congratulations Becky! We are so lucky to have your expertise in our preschools!
