Not sure how to approach reading to a reluctant preschooler?  Follow some of these tips:

• Read to your child everyday-make it part of your bedtime routine
• Make it fun! Use voices and lots of animation.
• Make it comfy!
• Let them take the lead and pick books that interest them-even if its the same book over and over.
• If they struggle with sitting still for a whole story-shorten it and summarize or talk about the pictures found in it.

Starting now will make it easier as they grow older and the demand for reading and interacting with books becomes greater.
